Pros
For the most part, everyone is incredibly smart and hard-working. Lots of flexibility in terms of working remotely, working in a different location than where your office is located, needing to take time here and there for kids, family, etc. Room to be creative and make your position what you want it to be. Entrepreneurial spirit is encouraged. Cute perks from events, annual holiday gifts, etc. Company is very philanthropic.
Cons
Low salaries, at least for mid- and low-level associates. No transparency. Benefits are sub-par. Despite recent efforts to change culture, the company is not diverse nor inclusive. Very few women in leadership, few non-white leaders as well. Lack of formal structure for positions and pay grades results in totally arbitrary promotions and "career paths." Employee feedback is encouraged but there is little follow through. Regional offices operate in autonomous silos so hard to push progress through the center of the company.
