Pros
The company did supply a means for the reports to get into corporate. Also, there were daily times to call and speak with a manager and had weekly meetings. There are goals to hit along the way of the day and the week with additional ways to earn bonus money. A monthy letter came out with nation wide accomplishments and suggestions.
Cons
There was no health insurance offered just an addition to your rate for you to buy your own. Also, the territory tended to be farther than 100 mile radius intially spoken about. The support system was very low with overcoming objections. The job was sold to me as a way to help small communities promote themselves. I asked if there were relationships builty, they said yes, and come to find out nine times out of ten the town's city hall or chamber wanted nothing to do with this type of advertising. At one point I walked into a shop and was told they were calling the cops becuase I was a scam artist. I call my boss at the time and she said just to leave and try the next store. When I left the company, I got a few calls from sales I did make asking where the proofs were, where the t-shirts were, or how to get a refund. I directed them to the home office.
