Pros

For last 10 years it was ok to just show up and go with the flow. No accountability or pressures to perform. If you smile and don’t challenge anyone than you will get promoted.

Cons

This is company without any future. The company financial performance has been is free fall for last 3 years. Talent exodus is massive and only mediocre people who can’t find job outside have stayed back or people like me who wants to retire next year. Executive leadership is highly political snakepit and focused on backstabbing each other. There is zero focus on customer or business growth. Previous leadership who got fired was mediocre but current leadership is clueless and situation is like jumping from frying pan into a fire. There are no blacks in leadership at any levels and it’s a puzzle why this company is never investigated. Not sure who is writing positive reviews but it seems it’s HR doing some PR work.

Pros

Even with current political tensions, LZ is still allowing cultural programs which support diversity and inclusion throughout the organization. Working in a lab setting and having supportive management that understand work life balance is beneficial as long as the work is getting done. Supportive of using company time to volunteer in community investment. Most employees are supportive and willing to help each out.

Cons

No opportunity for advancement. Low yearly pay increases, with too much focus on pushing individuals to do more as “personal development”. Health benefit package is limited and costly, vacation promised isn’t always given, too many middle and upper management, with continued turnover before you even know who they are and what they do. Most scientist and engineers have no other working experience besides education and lack experience, which prevents opportunities for innovation. Co-ops have better opportunities than long term full time employees.
