Pros

The job really couldn't be any easier. My past commercial driving jobs required a lot more work on my part. However, at MSI, my job consists of showing up in the morning to a truck that has been loaded by the warehouse guys (sometimes I am asked to help if they're busy), I drive it to wherever it's going, basically stand on the back and help with unloading, and then drive back to get loaded again. For me, it's a Mon-Fri 7-5. Times can fluctuate a little depending on where I'm delivering to. Two bonuses a year. A Christmas bonus and a bonus based on your yearly review that may include a raise.

Cons

There can be slow times where I don't have anything to deliver and end up just having to help in the warehouse. Benefits aren't horrible, but they aren't great. Normal holidays off. VERY few PTO days provided. You are allowed to take days off when needed without pay. 401K isn't provided until you've been there 1 year.

Pros

I wish I could give you a pro RUN away if you can

Cons

Where do I start…. Micromanagement to the max: Dissecting your mileage to your sales visits even though the mileage app sucked and did not work half the time. If you drive their car you can’t even drink water as the camera will alert corporate and you get a nasty email. False promises: only be overnight 1-2 nights a week which was not true Zero training on what’s important Let people sell instead of burying them in worthless tasks Had me train for 8 weeks away from home like I was in the military and I stared at a wall in an office. My wife had a medical scare early on and I mentioned that I would like to be with her with the diagnosis and they still made me travel 8 hours from home. Pretty sure they were forcing me out as I talked to other sales reps and they weren’t under the pressure that I was. It’s not really a real sales job there is no selling your basically and order taker and spend your time trying to figure out the mess of ordering.
