Toxic and Controlled by Sydney - Manager Macquarie Group Employee Review

Pros

High pay that is dangled like a carrot to attract unsuspecting employees. Only work here if you are desperate and need a job, but then immediately search for another company. The company spends a lot of money remodeling their offices to make them nice and attract unsuspecting customers.

Cons

Work from home only 2 times a week and that is very inconvenient if you live far from downtown because traffic is horrible. Plus, I45 construction about to begin for several years and that will make access more complicated. Management pretends to listen, but then doesn't communicate. You get work assignments from Microsoft teams chats; for example, and expectations are not clearly communicated by leadership. Then, you get blamed when things go poorly due to broken processes and company red tape. Only people who are favorable with management get promoted so this place is more political than most companies that I have worked for. Rotational layoffs so recession proof to a point. I don't think they will be successful in the long-term because their direction is from Sydney headquarters and their management is out of touch with the work culture and what is going on in America.
