Pros
Hybrid schedule, good 401k match and benefits, high level of authority, good bonus structure(but it’s taxed very hard)
Cons
Toxic work environment, low base pay and annual increases are 0-3% max, poor leadership, you don’t even have your own desk because they don’t have enough. You have to share desks and use lockers to put your stuff in every day. they call it hoteling. office is a gossip mill full of young kids who don’t know what hard work is, they only hire inexperienced people that you must train while also doing all the underwriting, managerial duties, goal setting, performance reviews, monthly & quarterly reports for senior leadership, budgeting, loss cost analysis, marketing and research. Can’t trust senior leadership, they only care about the stock price and not the people so they will use and abuse you and show you the door if you have a problem with it. It is a very stressful place to be. You will always have far more work than you can do and the process to hire takes many months and then they only hire people with no experience so the cycle starts over. After you set your budget and yearly projections, they tell you they are out of capacity or change the guidelines but still expect large growth. This is certainly a place to avoid at all costs.
