Pros

Remote. There are no pros at all

Cons

Maximus is a money hungry company who only cares about cheap output and production. They do not care about workers & treat you as if you’re severely undervalued. Maximus is now the parent company of my company (now acquired) and they’ve come in and literally slashed our processes, cut our salaries by tremendous amounts (more than half), and taken away many previous privileges. You are talking about people’s careers, salaries, livelihoods and future. Completely unacceptable & they treat you like a number. We have no voice anymore. Also, they don’t even give sick days, must use PTO. My salary has been cut by around 45k and that number climbs much higher for others who had different levels of seniority, production, etc. I have a home, family & life that I no longer can maintain and so does the rest of the department who works very hard at this role.

Remote, adequate training and guidance and usually everything /software works - minus regular hiccups.

Cons

Not too many - a few misunderstanding s about training classes and roles but overall, not bad.

Pros

Had a few really exceptional coworkers

Cons

One reason I was hired was to bring in new ideas and work approaches; however, when I tried implementing anything new, some of the “old school higher-ups” would balk and were never open to anything new or better. My management just looked the other way and didn’t support me. As for training, I wasn’t offered much in the way of onboarding other than being told to read a lengthy “standard operating procedures” document. No real opportunities were offered to shadow anyone so I could learn in real-time. A typical work week was 60+ hours and often stretched to 70+. It was exhausting and demoralizing. The job was not sustainable and I’ve never been more relieved to be done with a place. I cannot recommend Maximus as a place to grow your skills or to give your time. Turnover seems to be relatively high at Maximus and there are far better places to work.
