Pros

They have terrific benefits, including discount perks and dailypay options, as well as bonus incentives, paid training and an easy application process.

Cons

They mass hire staff without fully examining the individuals thoroughly. Then they run them too quickly through the training process, aka elimination rounds, hoping they have enough staff completing to fill the positions. They only allow 2 15-minute breaks and a 30-min lunch unless you request an accommodation for more time due to an established disability. Considering it takes at least 7 to 10 minutes to get out of the building and back due to only 1 entry/exit, security and having to keep personal effects in a locker, there is no time to journey across the vast parking lot to your vehicle nor even walk the 6 extra mins it takes to go to and return from the only designated smoking area that is provided.

Remote, adequate training and guidance and usually everything /software works - minus regular hiccups.

Cons

Not too many - a few misunderstanding s about training classes and roles but overall, not bad.

Pros

Had a few really exceptional coworkers

Cons

One reason I was hired was to bring in new ideas and work approaches; however, when I tried implementing anything new, some of the “old school higher-ups” would balk and were never open to anything new or better. My management just looked the other way and didn’t support me. As for training, I wasn’t offered much in the way of onboarding other than being told to read a lengthy “standard operating procedures” document. No real opportunities were offered to shadow anyone so I could learn in real-time. A typical work week was 60+ hours and often stretched to 70+. It was exhausting and demoralizing. The job was not sustainable and I’ve never been more relieved to be done with a place. I cannot recommend Maximus as a place to grow your skills or to give your time. Turnover seems to be relatively high at Maximus and there are far better places to work.
