Senior management team often at logger heads over roles and responsibilities that unfortunately puts pressure on those lower down the hierarchy and encourages negativity amongst departments.
Competitiveness amongst internal departments is sadly encouraged with very poor cross department ways of working .
Habit of “restructuring” which lands you with more responsibility and a more senior role but not the salary and /or job title to go alongside this , essentially you’re getting an unpaid & unrecognised promotion.
Whilst several changes in any fast growing organisation are expected, the number of changes in the digital area of the business at Mayborn make you question if the people at the top really know what they are doing. I had 3 different roles and 3 different managers during a 2.5 year period.
To echo what others have said, there’s definitely a “clique”mentality . If your face fits and you make friends with the right people you’ll go far.
