It is not good if you want to do interesting engineering projects. Very nasty work environment. - Associate Telecom Engineer McDermott Employee Review

Pros

The company provides solid benefits, including health coverage, travel opportunities, and access to major infrastructure projects. Office environments are generally clean, professional, and well-structured. Document control and engineering standards are emphasized, which can be valuable for career development.

Cons

New engineers often receive minimal training and are quickly assigned to field projects without adequate preparation. Field assignments may involve committing to housing contracts, which can create complications if the assignment doesn’t align with the engineer’s role or goals. In some cases, engineers are left unsupported and underutilized. Office roles tend to focus heavily on documentation rather than hands-on or creative engineering work. Also, very nasty work environment: there is no teamwork, everybody competes.
