Pros
Very good colleague relationships. Very few, or no office politics. A great environment to learn detail design in depth because there are many seniors, directors and experts around for you to ask around.
Cons
Pay wise is not very competitive among the big construction consultants. You tend to stuck at doing a similar role over and over again. For example, junior will always be doing design in office. Request to follow seniors/directors to attend site/progress meetings is always rejected. Always rushing and focusing on "deliver" drawings. No standard office design procedures/checklist for design. Young fresh engineers are lost, some important considerations might missed out.
