Getting paid to play and spend time with cats. Just being on the platform brings clients to you. I never advertised myself outside of the platform, and now I am making $4k a month! You are your own boss and set your own hours. Support staff is very helpful and it always feels like they advocate for you. No need for makeup - you can wear athleisure everyday and cats dont care if you have messy hair.

Commission taken from your earnings is significant - 30% base. Commission taken can go as low as 15%, but that's ONLY after a client spends $3k on reservations with you, which realistically takes years. It can feel unfair. As an Independent Contractor, you have to save earnings for taxes and record your own mileage for deductions. There will be wear and tear on your car that can become expensive. Cats are apex predators at the end of the day, so some of them are spicy. They will hiss and could bite you. Some of the clients are nightmares to deal with.

Working for Meowtel as a pet sitter has been a really positive experience. The platform makes it easy to connect with cat owners, and I appreciate the flexibility and independence it offers. It’s been rewarding to build trust with clients while doing something I genuinely enjoy !!!

My only thought is that the app could use some improvement. It can feel a little antiquated and clunky at times, though I’m able to work with it fine, so it’s not really a complaint, just an observation!
