Pros
Good at operations and managing costs Smart CEO, who understands the business well Work-life balance
Cons
I came from an acquisition and Microchip's is the worst company I have ever seen. They are a technology company and can't build or define products that work. They laid-off most of the good engineers and engineering managers and brought in their own incompetent managers. The CEO is smart but also cunning. I can't believe most of the things he stays in the quarterly meeting. The way to do well in this company is to stop thinking and blindly follow what your incompetent manager says. If you care about your career please don't work here. I my previous company we hired a couple of people from Microchip and they were so poor from a technical stand point. They never took initiative and just were not up to par with other engineers. My bad luck that my company got bought over by Microchip. Getting out as fast as I can.
