Pros

1. Pretty good work life balance 2. Pay comes in on time 3. Pantry is pretty good That's about it

Cons

1. Inadequate support from higher management 2. Working with external teams can make you pull your hair 3. Direction from upper management is like asking your mum whether you can go out to play but she says go ask your dad. And the cycle repeats itself 4. Chinese language for business conversations is needed as such, huge learning curve and inefficient at times when you need to translate things. 5. Management has inculcated a ever-learning-environment by not implementing proper turnover SOP. As such, you are learning everything from scratch once someone leaves. 6. Expect yourself to constantly contemplate whether or not you have communication issues with how individuals respond to instructions and queries.

Pros

- It's at Suntec City, so it's quite accessible. - The HR executives really made the interview and hiring process feel quite smooth. - You'll definitely be able to improve your Chinese.

Cons

- The capabilities of overseas counterparts are extremely questionable. - Your workflow is heavily dependent on whether overseas counterparts can deliver. Most times, you are just waiting on them before they can deliver which can sometimes take weeks. - For those who think that you can bring your experiences and expertise from previous jobs to this company, think again. You'll be extremely surprised that you won't be able to, unless you are the ones who are extremely favoured by management. - For a company that is global, very little seems to have been properly established. This leads to tremendous confusion from many departments. - Making the higher ups happy seem to be more important than starting / doing things right. People hired in the higher up positions also do not seem to have the required expertise / knowledge in their supposed roles to give strong direction.

Pros

- Work life balance of 9am to 6pm. If you are able to provide greater emotional value, your working hours can be highly flexible. - Working with stakeholders in China and other entities (those countries deemed as high financial risk) primarily, will ensure that you are actually intellectual and provides a great sense of satisfaction. - Gain valuable skills such as really being good in small talk, creative ways to be compliant, most importantly providing emotional value to key members in the dynasty.

Cons

Well, there are really way too many to actually state but since the company doesnt really care about employer branding, i'm going to do my part to help future job seekers. Management style: - Chinese dynasty ruled by an emperor in extreme denial with the grand eu**** with a negstive public record running the show. In short, your only KPI is to provide sufficient emotional value to the grand eu**** to ensure promotions/$$$. - Professionalism and work is really not required. We have diverse backgrounds with amazingly inflated titles packed with amazingly little knowledge and relevant work experience. - Value of work experience gained compared to actual commercial organizations, none. - Grand e***** and the concubines expect people to leave in 1-2 years and hence, if you're looking for career longevity , all the best. - Mental health + Career progression are taboo topics unless you are providing sufficient emotional value to the key members in the court.
