Pros

Fast-paced environment that keeps the day moving • Good exposure to both front desk and clinical/tech work • Opportunity to learn a lot about eye care, insurance, and optical terminology • Patient-focused culture (when staffing and leadership are solid) • Can be a good stepping stone if you want experience in optometry or healthcare • Some locations offer growth opportunities and certifications

Cons

Staffing shortages can lead to burnout • Expectations are high, sometimes without adequate support • Management quality varies heavily by location • Communication can be inconsistent, especially during transitions • Scheduling and workload may change with little notice • Pay does not always match the level of responsibility

Pros

The office environment was pleasant, and the stocked snacks and beverages were genuinely appreciated. A few colleagues were supportive and tried to help where they could. The company is expanding, which may appeal to individuals who enjoy rapid change and ambiguity.

Cons

The culture is still evolving, and expectations around “fit” can feel subjective rather than grounded in clear, consistent criteria. Priorities shift frequently, sometimes without enough context for employees to understand the reasoning or how to adjust their work accordingly. Communication from leadership varies by team, and it can be challenging to get clarity on decision‑making or long‑term direction. Feedback mechanisms are limited, and employees may struggle to understand how their performance or contributions are being evaluated.
