Pros

- NAMSA is a good company to start your career and it wil give you expsure to different areas within the medical indsutry - Good flexibility and option to work from home -

Cons

- Company is growing to fast and the culture which used to be great is getting lost. Before, all employees had a voice, we used to meet to discuss services development and work on it together, More and more the gap between management and the rest of the team is getting bigger - Services are being developed but employees are not being involved or being able to give feedback - Salary is lower than other companies the sector - At the moment there's no career path defined and it feels that just the same people keep getting promoted over and over again - There are not much opportunity for grow - Benefits are not good specially when compared to other companies in sector - Slowly a micromanagement culture is being estabilished - New managers being hired outside from the company with no experience in consulting; the once existing career path review has been lost - Really big turnaover at the moment; 3 different managers in 6 months - PM feels more like and admin position

Pros

You get a lot of leeway with your schedule in the study director group if you get your work down without complainants and are available when the lab needs you. WFH. Coworkers are alright, I've had a lot worse.

Cons

No actual bonus, but they include it in the "total compensation package" value and use to hold the possibility in front of you to pull as much work from you for as little pay as possible then pull it away at the last minute. Very stressful. Understaffed. Systemic issues that will likely never be fixed. Run by venture capitalist firm who is doing everything to squeeze every last cent from the company. Cutting cost is the priority now rather than good science. NAMSA used to do "good science" and now, it's just "science". It would be bad science if the employees didn't have integrity. The top leadership doesn't seem to understand the day-to-day activities and how their decisions affect the employees. Burnout is at an all time high.

Thank you for sharing your feedback—we appreciate the candor. We’re glad to hear flexibility and team collaboration have been positive aspects of your experience. We also take concerns around workload, staffing, and burnout seriously. Ensuring our teams are supported while maintaining high standards of quality and integrity in our science remains a key priority. We recognize the importance of transparency in compensation and career growth and continue to evaluate and strengthen our approach. We encourage associates to raise concerns through leaders, HR, or confidential channels so we can address them directly. Thank you again for your input.
