Engineering colleagues are good, dedicated to producing high quality products. A good range of different engineering fields to choose from. A reasonable openness to lateral movement between groups, if one wants to expand one's field of expertise. Some opportunities for foreign travel.
Cons
Poor rewards for good work. Do a good job and get dumped on. Then management ask why they score poorly on 'engagement'. Class based attitude to distributing the wealth created by employees. Engineering level employees have no trust in senior management,
