Pros

Work with very intelligent, capable, ambitious people. They value employees who are active, involved, ambitious and open to new responsibilities. If you prove yourself as one of these people, you can get involved in very business-critical, high-profile projects and awarded and recognized for successful work. The company is surprisingly innovative and progressive. It's a true media company, not a newspaper company.

Cons

Sometimes highly political and bureaucratic. Some great ideas get stifled because of this, but those who have the stamina to see a project through multiple rounds of rejection, can usually see it through.

Pros

Challenging and rewarding work. You'll work in an environment that publishes the news everyday, if you are excited about helping people learn more about the world, you'll love it here. Good benefits, hybrid work, and really smart coworkers.

Cons

Does not pay like big tech but as an IC you'll be part of union with job protections
