Challenging environment with limited growth and constant instability - Marketing Nextiva Employee Review

Pros

Free food and snacks were occasionally provided, and the health benefits package was competitive compared to similar companies. Beyond those items, there were very few tangible perks or long-term incentives for employees.

Cons

There is no clear growth path or career development structure. Most accountability falls on lower-level execution staff, while leadership is largely disconnected from outcomes. Marketing leadership lacks strategic direction, resulting in poor-quality leads and ongoing pressure on Sales to perform without proper support. Executive leadership changes frequently, with roles turning over every few months, creating instability and shifting priorities. KPIs and expectations change often with little communication, making it difficult to succeed or feel secure. Everything is treated as “priority one,” which leads to burnout and unrealistic workloads. Compensation is not competitive, and pay and treatment appear inconsistent across employees. Mass Terminations often happen without warning, contributing to a culture of fear rather than trust. Every 3 months they would do a companywide termination length at the business did not matter.

Pros

My experience at Nextiva has been incredibly positive. I’ve really enjoyed the culture and the people—it’s clear that everyone is aligned around a shared goal, which creates a strong sense of purpose and collaboration. The environment is energizing, and being part of a forward-thinking company has made the experience both engaging and rewarding. Overall, it’s been a great place to grow and contribute.

Wow, this is amazing to read. The way you describe the team, the energy, and the sense of purpose really says a lot about the environment you’re helping create. That’s what we mean when we talk about the Nextiva feeling. That kind of experience doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from people showing up the way you do. Thanks for being here 💙

Pros

The HQ office is nice - they are requiring 4 day RTO if you're in the area. I've met some of the best people while working here - it's a shame that the company doesn't foster the same culture it used to.

Cons

A new sales leader every quarter or so. Went through 7 in under 2 years. You better be quick on your feet to dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge all the BS. Every new leader has their "flavor of the month" on how to run the team so put on a neck brace to keep yourself from getting whiplash! Product is lacking and falling behind quickly and Nextiva thinks it can save itself with a quick AI tool here and there. You should ask them how long they've been trying to launch their "nex-gen" solution. There's a gate on the commissions with unattainable quotas. If you don't hit the gate minimum = no commission :) Their health plan does not cover any procedure or appointment related to fertility and/or family planning so if that's something that you are looking for, you'll be stuck paying out of pocket. The company 401k match is not fully vested until after you've been there for at least 3 years. "Flexible" PTO but with management crackdown, you're required to "request" the time off you take and it's up to management on if it's approved or not. They will micromanage you until you want to die.
