Pros

Free food and snacks were occasionally provided, and the health benefits package was competitive compared to similar companies. Beyond those items, there were very few tangible perks or long-term incentives for employees.

Cons

There is no clear growth path or career development structure. Most accountability falls on lower-level execution staff, while leadership is largely disconnected from outcomes. Marketing leadership lacks strategic direction, resulting in poor-quality leads and ongoing pressure on Sales to perform without proper support. Executive leadership changes frequently, with roles turning over every few months, creating instability and shifting priorities. KPIs and expectations change often with little communication, making it difficult to succeed or feel secure. Everything is treated as “priority one,” which leads to burnout and unrealistic workloads. Compensation is not competitive, and pay and treatment appear inconsistent across employees. Mass Terminations often happen without warning, contributing to a culture of fear rather than trust. Every 3 months they would do a companywide termination length at the business did not matter.

Big company with a small company feel

Pros

Even though Nextiva has over 1,500 employees, I still feel like the culture matches that of the small <100 person companies I've worked for in the past. People are genuine, caring and will be your advocates. The leaders that I've interacted with have all made sure to get to know me personally a bit before jumping into business conversation, which I think is the mark of good leaders.

Cons

The work can be chaotic at times because Nextiva pushes hard, but it's all been worth it and has helped me grow into my position fast.
