Pros
Learning opportunities are great since it is a B2B company and the clients are multinational and national FMCG companies. One can develop a great insight of FMCG sector and trends. Furthermore, working at Nielsen, one can improve her marketing capabilities and skills to a greater extent since it gives a chance to see the big picture shaping the marketing strategies. Another great plus is that it helps significantly for improving in Excel.
Cons
The biggest con is the high turnover rate and despite this low promotion chances. Although a lot of Business Analysts work in the company, manager level employees are very few and chances to get promoted are relatively low. Furthermore, high turnover rate is a factor that reduces the motivation of employees. Another negative point is the long overtime hours (even weekend work) especially for the first few months of the year due to the reporting and presentation periods. The salaries are not at a level to compensate this downside but only at average for lower level management.
