Pros

- Casual culture, with smart and engaging people - Good work-life balance - Projects aim to deliver positive influence (mostly)

Cons

- Company is scrambling to regain market share and strengthen bottom line- effects can be seen in the decline in culture - Although advertised as "at average", the remuneration is slightly lower. Variable bonus option included but needs to be +20% for total remunerations to be at par with competitors - Limited range of sectors and projects available, Mainly public sector and education work, but is suffering from the softening market, - Pretend to be holier than thou, but unconsciously try to model the company as per Big4

Nous has a great culture, which we value and pay close attention to maintaining. The consulting market has been challenging for all in the last 12 months, which means managing the business, including costs, well, allowing us to continue delivering quality work with clients, and ensuring we maintain the best possible work environment and experience for Nousers. Nous' collaborative, optional, bonus structure has been in place for 25 years and is designed to drive collaboration, provide choice and flexibility and allow all Nousers to share in both the successes and otherwise. Those with a lower risk appetite, or where personal circumstances require certainty, can choose the no bonus option, with an uplift in base salary.

Always tough to read a harsh review. As the CPO I take responsibility for the vision, style and approach of the people team. I would hope that we are not stuck in the middle ages, but rather are open minded and progressive. I apologise if our approach to EDI is embarrassing as we pay attention to it and it is important to us. We get positive feedback from Nousers on our inclusive culture and the continued improvement around this important aspect of work and society, while recognising that we can always be better and that the world doesn't sit still so we must be open to ongoing improvement and change. We will keep working at it.

- Limited available sectors - Low pay relative to all except Big 4 and few small consulting firms. No longer competitive with government positions.
