      Pros

      There are still some great people around from VMware, who are great contributors.

      Cons

      It's really just a shell of its former self. The outlook is not great with many great employees leaving, layoffs, and PE backing. Sad to see such a fall from grace.

      Pros

      Good portfolio of products with name recognition from VMware. Good people working there (those that were not laid off).

      Cons

      Chasing profit over maintaining a good workforce and good products. Large number of RIFs.
