Pros

HQ Location is nice, lots of empty offices

Cons

I quite literally haven't worked for a worse company. Open Text makes it's money aquiring smaller companies, and applying a slash/outsource policy (cutting Members). They take opportunity to cut Team Members in all lines of business (without any performance management etc) stating redundancy from an aquisition -- when in reality it may as well be a seperate entity. Your constantly told to find them money. They freezing hiring, travel, education, all the time. They make record profits, but, really that never goes to anyone aside from the CEO and board. (The "trickle down" doesn't really trickle down). After watching several people who had built up nice careers, strong contributers who were cut for "salary" etc. After awhile you start to notice most of the talented people are gone. My feedback from customers was, I wish I didn't deal with this company. HR was non-existent, I really only dealt with them when it was layoff time. When your asked to layoff a member in your Team (every quarter). Do not work here, its a stop on your career path. Everyone is glad to see the back of it. I left for greener pastures.

Pros

Pros was that you had a job (and not for long if they find a way to outsource your position in the company).

Cons

Cons are so many to list, but from the leadership in this company being so out of touch with his/her employees, the restructuring done in their company to save some bucks on their end was crazy brutal, firing all of their talented workers to implement automated programs that did not function properly. Overall, horrible experience with OpenText, lies upon lies when it came to growth opportunities and keeping teams in the dark, no communication what so ever. Their business practices were just plain terrible.
