Pros
Good work, good pay, good hours.
Cons
The company has a big problem with not addressing racism and bullying. There is a manager who yelled, snatched work materials out of people's hands and threw them on the floor, and used the N-word in orientation. I was told by them that there is no training material because people only make it there if that person likes them or not. I tried to move departments and complained to leadership, but the person I had to report to admitted to a long friendship with this manager (both had been with the company for over 20 years and mentioned attending their wedding ). I complained but was dismissed, and then I was moved to a physically hard team where the bully manager said: "people don't make it." That manager continued to stare at me working every day and talk about me to others. I complained about this retaliation, but the department that I was required to report to was headed by this close friend. This company also continues to use the terms Master and Slave for the truck's parts. Being a woman of color, I was very uncomfortable and quit. I was never disciplined for any issues, and I was never late or had attendance issues. I was paid out for my vacation time at the end of the first year because of my attendance and picked up overtime when needed. I also created a spreadsheet to help train other team members to help the new group I was moved to. Throughout my work history, I have been awarded in past roles for my ability to learn quickly, my ability to work well with others, and my dedication to my work. I quit because there will never be a resolution to this bullying and racism if it is not taken seriously. (I was one of 3 complaints towards this manager for bullying behavior within the two years I was there. Including telling another woman of color to put chew in their mouth for them, which I see as a kind of sexual harassment)
