Pros

Quality People Excellent Benefits Flexible Hours / Flex Schedule Top Notch Training - As long as you have a Customer Service background Paychex will teach you everything you need to know about payroll. I was lucky - during my employment there were 2 branch managers - both of which are quality people and the management team were also top notch.

Cons

Sometimes can be a little overwhelming -- clients tend to 'pass the buck' when their payroll isn't correct. Too many meetings - there are times when the best thing for the Payroll Specialists is to let them do their jobs - too many meetings can sometimes put the specialists behind and then they are forced to play catch up the entire morning/day. Extremely stressful - it's not like your ordering a pizza and instead of extra cheese you get pepperoni - you are working with peoples money - many of which are small mom and pop businesses and they cannot afford any mistakes.

Pros

People and the overall environment is a positive one. If you do your part, definite long term career potential. It’s not easy- but stable, growing. Worth serious consideration for early career looking for sales experience with a great training program. Also good for mid-career consideration if base salary isn’t the primary reason you are in sales.

Cons

Very fast pace that doesn’t suit everyone. If you are looking for easy or just a job to “hang out”, this probably isn’t the right spot for you.

Pros

Literally just being able to work fully remote, but not much else

Cons

Pay is ridiculously low for the expected effort and tasks needed to handle client sales and after sales nurturement. About 1/3 of sales team ever hits the monthly quota. You get 13% commissions of deal size which typical deal size is anywhere from $700-$1500, 13% of that is less than $200 gross for huge amount of work load per deal for the client to just end up canceling and commissions gets clawed back.
