Pros
When I started at Penguin, I had VERY limited knowledge of the construction industry. I manage the call center. I'm not on a work site with a tool belt, but every member of the team always made time to explain something to me if I asked and after about 3 years here, I am much more confident speaking to potential customers and answering specific questions. No real crash course, no lectures, just picking up information as you go and nobody expects you to get everything immediately, so you have time. Working at Penguin Basements has exposed me to many elements of the construction industry, as well as the real estate industry, and helped me gain experience in fields I never previously considered. To put it simply; Penguin Basements opens doors.
Cons
Hard to really call it a con, but I've never worked in such a fast paced environment. You have to be on your toes and responsive as all the moving parts require constant communication - which isn't a real problem as everyone supports one another.
