Pros

The central location, ease of access to the centre.

Cons

A deeply chaotic organisation that's entirely unwilling to change or evolve in any discernible way. From the moment people start, they are set up to fail resulting in high turnover across the business. They offer a 'good' benefits package, but it's not all that competitive. They do not care about employee wellbeing - don't be fooled. There are pockets of goodness, and some people are friendly. Unfortunately, conniving, manipulative behaviour is often rewarded, leading to ineffective and poorly skilled management. Many people have been there a long and are resigned to the situation. They are miserable and will not help you to make positive changes as they are simply winding down the clock. To be clear, this is coming from an employee who left on their own accord. This is just the review I wish I'd seen when reading this page. I would have headed the warning. Avoid at all costs. You'll soon realise why they want you to start so quickly.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and feedback we are very sorry to hear about your experience at Personal Group. As a business we understand the need to continually upskill our colleagues and leaders, our people team are working on accessible development plans and toolkits to assist with colleague progression and support them in their roles. We are on, and will remain on, a continuous journey of improvement, in all aspects of employee engagement and experience. We are working closely with our business leaders to address negative behavior's, alongside increasing our channels of colleague feedback to identify and proactively tackle any concerns. We understand that while we strive for improvement this will not always be comfortable for everyone as we continuously embed new ways of working. We have appointed a new Engagement and Wellbeing Partner for 2023 to drive, shape and enhance an environment where colleagues are at the forefront of the business. Our great benefit offering will continually be assessed to make sure that we are including the things we believe matter most to people at the moment.

Pros

Very supportive of any personal challenges outside of work. Flexible working options are extensive. Colleagues want to help each other and band together to tackle issues outside of management interference. Big book of existing insurance policyholders funds a relatively relaxed approach to winning new business. Existing insurance products are well received by customer/policyholders

Cons

Very disconnected and old fashioned board Senior leaders don't work together and some are distant from the workforce Quite cliquey Poor product development (platform) has led to a lot of client dissatisfaction The insurance sales model is old fashioned and sometimes attracts criticisim from clients. Hugely siloed which is driven from the very top Some people love working there and others hate it - it's very marmite
