I was told they hire everyone. But not if you're disabled - Prospect Pilgrim's Employee Review

Pros

Big reputable company that I thought had a genuine interest in balancing a family work life and expressed concern for it's employees.

Cons

I was given a interview and showed up on time and dressed sharp. But when staff met me she saw I was handicapped because I use a single crutch so she politely told me that the security guard shouldn't have let me in to the place and that I needed to go home and wait for a phone call that never happened. I assumed if was because I needed to enter through a different entrance or something to that nature. Staff said they didn't want me to slip and fall. I guess I could've brought my wheelchair to resolve that concern but felt it was unnecessary. I would think a company of this caliber could find a position for me to fill with reasonable accommodations. So with a bruised ego and hurt feelings the search continues. I'm sure God has a plan for me somewhere.
