Cons
Where do I start?
The management will criticize technicians in ear shot of other engineers.
They have no structure, when jobs get tough, management have a meltdown.
There is very little support for engineers. They do not have a second line or third. If you are handed a difficult ticket, you are expected to sort it within an SLA. Even if it's a full network restore & you are "first line" you are expected to know how to solve it with minimum assistance, they will also openly berate you while you are actioning a ticket if it is taking too long (even if you are restoring a backup and you can't control how long it will take.)
They expect engineers to "improve" but not offer any advice to improve. They treat there apprentices horribly, they do not assist apprentices & expect them to learn the job outside of there shifts.
The 4 day work week isn't in your contract, even though they deduct holidays. If you start with this company, you will only have 16 days of annual leave.
The MD will openly talk about his spending. An example of this is when he stated "I just spent 4 grand changing my tires" or he will "flex" on the engineers with a new phone or gadget every two months.
The work environment is horrible. You will hate yourself everyday working here.
