Pros

None at all. Please avoid

Cons

Where do I start? The management will criticize technicians in ear shot of other engineers. They have no structure, when jobs get tough, management have a meltdown. There is very little support for engineers. They do not have a second line or third. If you are handed a difficult ticket, you are expected to sort it within an SLA. Even if it's a full network restore & you are "first line" you are expected to know how to solve it with minimum assistance, they will also openly berate you while you are actioning a ticket if it is taking too long (even if you are restoring a backup and you can't control how long it will take.) They expect engineers to "improve" but not offer any advice to improve. They treat there apprentices horribly, they do not assist apprentices & expect them to learn the job outside of there shifts. The 4 day work week isn't in your contract, even though they deduct holidays. If you start with this company, you will only have 16 days of annual leave. The MD will openly talk about his spending. An example of this is when he stated "I just spent 4 grand changing my tires" or he will "flex" on the engineers with a new phone or gadget every two months. The work environment is horrible. You will hate yourself everyday working here. Please AVOID!!!!

Pros

Fellow engineers are great people who are very switched on and know what their doing and are willing to work as a team to make sure everything is running.

Cons

Team Leaders and managers are a waste of time, micromanaging nightmare that slows down the people that actually have to do the work. Short cuts are taken at every opportunity which constantly need to be fixed shortly after, causing more work. 4 Day work week is used to threaten employees to work harder and to "give more" or it is taken away. (this is never mentioned in the interview process) Constantly having to apologies for manager/Team leaders conduct when speaking to customers as they are usually unhappy with the service they are being provided as they see the cut corners. Management are too sensitive to take feedback on how employees felt the workplace was being managed and any attempts to help the company run better fell on deaf ears constantly. Team leaders let the little bit of power they have go to their head, constantly treating their other employees badly and have no idea how to run a team.

Pros

The employee's in Fast Response are very helpful and friendly.

Cons

Management is a joke. The Directors and Management talk behind peoples back openly to other employees. Toxic work environment. Nobody enjoys the job. The company does not have a clear goal. If you are thinking about getting a Job here, please keep in mind that they will keep you later than your shift with the promise of overtime pay (Which they never deliver on.) They are now also making current Advanced Support technicians to wash, oil and maintain the company cars themselves. The company are not open to criticism. Fast response are working on 2-3 tickets at a time, while management and directors expect to keep a half an hour minimum on tickets. The office is dreadful and cramped. They are in the works of building a new office however, there has been no input on design from colleagues. All we know is that it's going to be like "Google." PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
