Pros
The beauty of Pivot is that there is no ceiling and no guard rails for how far you can go and grow. If you are motivated and smart, you will succeed. If you have ideas, you can make them happen. Liz (our President) is not stuck in her ways and is always open to finding better and new ways to do things. You have a voice at Pivot and you are not just a number or a cog in a wheel. She schedules 1:1s with employees at all levels of the agency to hear what they have to say. I've been at 3 other agencies and have never experienced that type of transparency and access to senior management. In terms of employee benefits, Pivot has a very generous vacation policy. Week shut down between xmas and NYE, the typical holidays plus 4 days for Memorial Day, President's day, and summer hours. And Liz genuinely wants people to have a work/life balance. That's not to say there are not the occasional late nights or stressful weeks, but the office is generally empty by 6pm. What other agency can really say that? In my few short years at Pivot, I've truly embraced all the opportunities and challenges that have come my way. Working with smart and fun people sets Pivot apart. We all come together for a common goal to do great work and make our clients happy.
Cons
Expectations are high and if you cannot deliver, it can be stressful. You must learn how to prioritize, be efficient, and be a true team player. If you want to come to work to just earn a pay check and not be productive or push yourself, Pivot is not for you.
