Pros

Postman is genuinely one of those companies where you believe in what you're building and I see that most often than not with the Engineers. The culture is collaborative and people are generally kind and smart. Work-life balance is better than most companies I have been at. Boundaries are respected and there's flexibility in how you structure your day. Compensation is competitive, with a pretty good base pay and benefits. There's decent scope to own initiatives and make an impact without too much red tape.

Cons

Career growth here is pretty much something you figure out on your own — the company isn't really going to drive that for you, which I get is normal at this stage but just good to know going in. Management is a mixed bag, not in a terrible way, just some people are great and some are still finding their footing. There's been a few reorgs here and there which can make things feel a bit unclear at times, like you're not totally sure what the priority is. Nothing that made me want to leave or anything, just stuff that feels like it's still being figured out.

5 days RTO isnt a preference, but in-office perks and flexibility make days easier

Pros

There are no pros whatsoever at Postman. Any positive reviews you currently see on here are from HR and from people that HR actually asked to write positive reviews.

Cons

Zero stars. This place is a mess from the top down. Leadership loves to publicly berate employees and believes that will motivate them, there is no culture left, no partnership or collaboration at all between teams. It is truly a blame game at all times. I am seriously wondering how the CRO has managed to still be employed given that he has never made his number, is the most boring, dry and uninspiring person I have ever heard speak and has somehow managed to avoid interacting with sales and with customers for the 16 months he has been here. In three years, I never once had a career growth discussion with any of the 6 managers I was shuffled around to. New policies implemented make sure Postman is only catering to one type of employee and is not flexible for anyone that has any other responsibilities whatsoever outside of their job.
