      Poor leadership that can't handle feedback

      Salary and benefits are very good

      "Leadership" comes up with a new direction every month, and the rest of the company exists solely to fulfil their latest pivot. There is no notion of independence or desire for initiative, the company is strictly top down and you are a worker drone. Every 6 months a lottery is drawn for which teams to layoff. For developers specifically, the codebase is what you would expect from unchecked growth attempts and top down leadership that doesn't have time for your "tech debt".

      Business is focused on outcomes/results rather than hours worked Unlimited PTO Genuine, grounded colleagues Very supportive, friendly environment Globally renowned, highly credible product Going through lots of growth; giving lots of opportunity to contribute and help set the business up for the future Lots of autonomy and trust

      This isn't specifically a con, however we are a globally distributed workforce spread across multiple timezones and countries, and therefore people need to be prepared to attend ad hoc meetings and calls out of hours BUT as the business is focussed more on outcomes, rather than hours worked, the positive is that you can create your own calendar and adapt hours to suit this need as and when it is required.
