Pros

The size allows for someone with initiative to look for new ways to innovate and help within the company. There is real consideration for employee feedback and mentorship (at least within the consulting group) that will help develop people into valuable assets for the company and it's clients. The consulting group is one of the most rational and flexible consulting organizations, generally a more laid back feel. They also know when to get work done and what clients want at the end of the day. Consulting here isn't about sales. One can also explore the sales side with some level of established trust and seniority. There is exciting opportunity ahead for a truly unique and highly valuable dataset (the fruits of this are pending significant investment in people and time)

Cons

The ability to chase after fundamental change and innovation is ha Different groups operate with different goals and management focuses that may lack communication between groups. Compensation is not top of the mark (though that's not why people are here). With a smallish client base leaves everyone with limited choice of what type of work they get to practice. Shift towards a new foundational client base (oil and gas) has left other new-market opportunities unexplored.
