I worked at Pret A Manger full-time for more than a year
Pros
Paid break.
Free food.
Career progression.
Parties and Friday drinks organized by the company in cool places.
Overall a nice and young work environment.
Cons
Often over working.
High pressure.
Stressful.
Unpaid sickness.
Often hires bad employees who give the whole team some really hard times.
If mystery shopper gives a bad review, all the team members loose money: no matter who made the mistake.
Hard shift times (you could start at 5 am in the morning, finishing at 11 pm if you have to close or even work at night if the shop requires it).
Be careful not to fall in the trap of the happy family: it's a brainwashing strategy to make you forget you're just the piece of an engine to them.
