Pros

Free fruit, coffee and new office

Cons

A lot of cons! The word con is a good way to describe primevigilance. Let’s start at the beginning with the interviews where they oversell the company and roles. They advertise a bonus but no one has been paid a bonus in years, so don’t fall for those lies. Human Resources is a joke, don’t expect them to be confidential. Information is passed around the office very quickly. High turn over of employees for a reason! This company is extremely unstable with a high turnover. Most recently UK directors have been fired. I think in my team alone 14 employed left in a year. Everyone is happy to leave whilst most people left are miserable and waiting to leave (companies fault obviously). As for day to day work, expect to be overworked and set unrealistic targets. Overtime has also been scrapped with the introduction of a case processing “bonus” where you are paid 11-20p per case (each case takes 20 minutes) so you do the math. As for my team itself, a lot of inexperienced people who are solely hired on their language skills. Expect favouritism for certain employees with one such employee promoted to project manager having not worked for half the year and constant working from home days where no work was done. The remaining directors are based in Croatia and have no respect for employees and you hear stories of people fired on the spot for no reason. The new office itself is nice however horrible location. It takes 40 minutes just to get out of the science park (0.5miles), similar times if you plan to use public transport .

Pros

Some good people who understand PV.

Cons

Senior leadership does not support or any kind of guidance. Overloads their project managers and expects the PMs to do everything. The PMs are held responsible for teams with no training and no support from their leaders or line managers. PMs are expected to be subject matter experts in all areas of PV instead of the departments. PMs are more administrative than project managers.
