Pros
I started at Protect Group as a Customer Experience Executive and within 18 months I had worked my way up to a Customer Experience Manager and then to the Head of Customer Experience. I went from having no experience in this field, to managing a global operations team. The opportunities to grow and develop within the company are huge for anyone that wants to work hard and grow themselves. I have been part of Protect for over 2.5 years now and spend the majority of this time living in Uruguay, Turkey, India and Cape Town building up teams in each location. Protect has an incredible accommodation scheme meaning I was able to live in beautiful places (the accommodation in India is a 3 story Villa with a pool, gym, cinema room and a car with a driver to get us around) for a fraction of the cost. The company has also taken me to Mexico for an international conference and a bonus related trip to Thailand for New Years Eve. Every office has been insanely welcoming and supportive and each has its own culture but with the same values and principles. You can wear whatever clothes you feel comfortable in, play your music throughout the day, you are able to talk to anyone in any department, have a laugh with the people you work with but also work hard to grow together with the company. We love to party and adventure in new countries together in our free time and I can honestly say that the people who I work alongside are far more than just colleagues, I have made friends for life. I can’t thank Protect enough for giving me such beautiful opportunities and experiences.
Cons
The basic salary is less than what you would receive in a similar roll in a different company however the bonus scheme, benefits and opportunities more than make up for this.
