Pros

If you're aged 17 to 20 with no experience, no responsibility and no life, it might be interesting to work here. Useful product

Cons

The business is run like a 'cult' No work/life balance Shockingly low salaries ( I mean it's almost slave labour) Illusion of potential commission Senior management are terrible at management There is a fundamental flaw in the business model that the management team haven't spotted - but it will come back to bite them

Pros

I started at Protect Group as a Customer Experience Executive and within 18 months I had worked my way up to a Customer Experience Manager and then to the Head of Customer Experience. I went from having no experience in this field, to managing a global operations team. The opportunities to grow and develop within the company are huge for anyone that wants to work hard and grow themselves. I have been part of Protect for over 2.5 years now and spend the majority of this time living in Uruguay, Turkey, India and Cape Town building up teams in each location. Protect has an incredible accommodation scheme meaning I was able to live in beautiful places (the accommodation in India is a 3 story Villa with a pool, gym, cinema room and a car with a driver to get us around) for a fraction of the cost. The company has also taken me to Mexico for an international conference and a bonus related trip to Thailand for New Years Eve. Every office has been insanely welcoming and supportive and each has its own culture but with the same values and principles. You can wear whatever clothes you feel comfortable in, play your music throughout the day, you are able to talk to anyone in any department, have a laugh with the people you work with but also work hard to grow together with the company. We love to party and adventure in new countries together in our free time and I can honestly say that the people who I work alongside are far more than just colleagues, I have made friends for life. I can’t thank Protect enough for giving me such beautiful opportunities and experiences.

Cons

The basic salary is less than what you would receive in a similar roll in a different company however the bonus scheme, benefits and opportunities more than make up for this.

Pros

After spending over 1 year working from home during the pandemic with my previous company, I began looking for opportunities working in a global business with potential travel opportunities but never would I have known what was to come with Protect Group. Having joined as a Recruitment Manager in 2021, I was relocated to Montevideo, Uruguay on day 4 of working in the company! Quickly I grew a team of 4 Recruitment Executives worldwide and within 2 years was promoted to Head of Global Recruitment. Since I joined the company I have had the opportunity to work in multiple countries such as Uruguay, Brazil, Thailand, USA, Mexico, China, Argentina and India. Spending time in different countries and truly immersing myself in the culture has provided me a different perspective of life and a true sense of appreciation. Protect is like a family, often in locations you will live with international colleagues as the company has 14 properties around the globe. Having gained my very best friends from within the company we often plan trips away for example flying to Nepal to take a helicopter to Mount Everest base camp as well as having a weeks holiday in Cartagena, Colombia, and spending new years at a music festival on an island in Thailand. From a personal perspective I’ve managed to take advantage of visiting 4 wonders of the world whilst working in our office locations: Mount Everest, Christ the Redeemer, Taj Mahal and The Great Wall of China with more planned in the very near future. In October 2022 I was given the opportunity to relocate to Shanghai, China (During the pandemic) along with our CEO and Head of Commercial to set up our expansion into the Chinese market and to hire local employees. After a successful 3 months getting operations off the ground i then flew directly to Tulum, Mexico for our annual company conference with over 55 other colleagues. I am currently based in Mexico City along with our CEO and Head of sales establishing our expansion into Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean market. The company has seen growth from 30-150 employees within the last 2 years as the company goes from strength to strength. I have seen an abundance of promotions during these 2 years all of which have been BDM’s stepping up to Heads of Sales positions with relocations to different countries and the responsibility of growing their own teams.

Cons

None that come to mind. Working at Protect isn’t just a job, it takes serious hard work and determination, it’s not a 9-5, we are genuinely all committed to growing this company to be as profitable as possible and we are reeping the rewards along the way! We are having fun whist working hard and truly seeing the fruits of our labour.
