Pros
Questrade has provided some excellent career options and learning opportunities for me which I have been trying to find for a long time.
The team is always on the look out to better themselves in different ways to both the internal and external clients. The people in the company is the biggest attraction. It is a joy to come to work with such bright, intelligent and accommodating co-workers. Everyone is ready to extend their hands to help in every which way possible.
Cozy lounges, a ping pong table, pool table, X-box all help in a great way to take your mind off work while on break.
The culture is very open, transparent and a lot of feedback is provided to help employees grow. No micro-management issues have been felt at all and there is a lot of flexibility when it comes to work timings, schedules and work-from-home options for eligible employees/departments.
Opportunities to grow are abundant for internal employees, which I have experienced first hand and which I have noticed around the company during this time. There are a lot of managerial and senior level Questraders who started from entry-level positions, which speaks so well about the company.
The location is quite accessible with the subway, GO bus terminal, TTC, VIVA buses available.
The senior management just amazes me everyday. Their open and free mentality makes it so easy and comfortable for all of us who work close to their offices. The proximity to the senior management and their friendly nature is one of the biggest factors which makes me stay at the company.
To sum up, Questrade is my 2nd home!
Cons
Wish the GO Train system was available from here, which is an issue some employees who live in the suburbs find. Not as accessible as Downtown Toronto.
Overall benefits package was a little basic before but the management team has made a lot of changes recently and delighted everyone so much.
