Pros
- Successful, growing business with lots of opportunities - Great location in downtown Evanston with free parking and easy public transit options - Feel of a small company with the backing of a large organization. - Strong intern and rotational programs are bringing a great vibe and new talent to the Evanston office. - Many opportunities for international work. - Good work-life balance.
Cons
- Poor senior management makes for inconsistent and unnecessarily unpleasant situations. In some departments, c-suite turns a blind eye to bullying and abusive behavior. - Egregious examples of unprofessionalism, both in the office and at customer-facing events, are ignored with no concern for how it reflects upon the organization and other employees. - Lip service is paid to performance reviews and development plans; however, this effort seems to be just to appease the requirements of the parent organization and no level of thought or attention are paid to them. HR is woefully understaffed, so is not positioned to provide much support. - Very little investment is made in continuing education or development of current employees.
