Pros

If you are speaking about the people, there are a few ‘pros’ that remain but they are severely under compensated and under appreciated. If you are looking for perks while working here, there are none; unless you aspire to drinking free coffee and eating free food, which you will need while working long hours required by this management team.

Cons

If you are looking for a company and management team that place value on you and your skills, are competent, and embrace morals, ethics and integrity this is NOT the company for you. More than 40 people have left the company since the merger in August 2013, this includes many valuable employees that were ‘let go’ without reason. The executive level managers of this company have absolutely no faith in their employees, and as a result employees are micromanaged until the employee questions every move, then the employee is rendered incompetent by management. Executives fight among themselves in front of employees, they are not professional, lack tact, business acumen and have no idea as to how to build and sustain a successful company or maintain healthy relationships with employees and clients. Management is always looking for the next ‘big thing’, only to set it up to fail with contract structure and then tosses it over the fence to the teams to manage and then move on to the next ‘big thing’, while ignoring the new client and the need to maintain and build an ongoing relationship. To make themselves feel and look better they will not hesitate to throw their teams under the bus and place blame on everyone but themselves.

Pros

Great people, great culture, great benefits

Cons

Minimum to average pay. The firm overall has a diverse portfolio but not so much with each individual studio.

Pros

Ratio Interactive is a digital agency, and is rife with opportunities for any developer who seeks a broad skill set and the chance to work on fun, challenging projects. Ratio actively looks for, and has the ability to pick and choose compelling engagements from some of the biggest companies around the world. I had the chance to work on probably a dozen projects with a variety of technologies including .Net, PHP, HTML/CSS, mobile web, and iOS, and my current career opportunities have exploded as a result. The employees aren't just "hipsters" and "frat boys" as another reviewer quipped. Sure, there's some hipsters, and there's some guys who were probably in a frat. But there's a good share of non-"hip" employees (I know, I was one of them), and moms and dads, and people who probably haven't seen the inside of a gym in ten years, too. Not sure why any of that matters, but regardless of their trendiness or social tendencies, the large majority of people I worked with at Ratio are intelligent, funny, creative, and worthwhile human beings. I still keep in touch with a lot of them.

Cons

Ratio is an intense environment, and thus is not for the faint of heart. That's probably a con if you're looking for something more laid back or are juggling a lot of other things in your life. Hot Pockets.
