The kool-aid presented at orientation paints a great picture, but it stops there.
It’s telling how they claim to be fast paced environment yet processes and projects take months in execution if not completely abandoned or ignored. If they mean fast paced in the sense of being disorganized, understaffed, stressed out and unappreciative, then yes, it is fast paced. Your humanity and imagination will be diminished with leaderships expectations of spinning wool into gold with the little resources and training provided. Gatekeeping and favoritism cultures thrive here.
"We are all owners" is one of the perks. It’s interesting how you are constantly reminded that you are an owner of the company and then get unrealistic metrics put upon you causing everyone to scramble to fix the poor money-hemorrhaging decisions made by leadership to save face with "the Board".
Any sense of autonomy is nonexistent in these micromanaged sweatshop conditions because “the Board” has their foot on leaderships neck and leadership has no problem throwing you (the owners) off the ship.
No real growth opportunities. Any growth seen was lateral moves. Don't count on advancing here. Pay is below market value.
"We're in it together" until you are seen as disposable.
