RiskVal Financial Solutions Response
7yIt is true that 4 people have been let go recently. However, it wasn’t unexpected to those individuals.
Everyone who was let go, knew about his/her performance and/or motivation issues for a long time as they were clearly stated to them during multiple reviews and one-on-one conversations. Those individuals were given multiple chances, some were even put on probation before, but it didn’t lead to any significant improvement in their attitude and/or performance.
The company does encourage employees to stay for a long term, however, building a career requires more than just working at the firm for a long time. The company is developing and we need employees to develop and grow with it. The company cultivates the environment that promotes professional growth, but not everyone can/want to change old habits and attitudes.
Even though it may have been unexpected to the rest of team, it wouldn’t be fair to call the decision unjustified. Moreover, the reasons and motivation behind those personnel changes were clearly outlined at the meeting with the entire team.
P.S. RiskVal management and HR welcomes all constructive criticism and suggestions, however, putting the number of let go personnel as 10% is inaccurate and deliberate misrepresentation of the situation given the size of the company.
