Pros

Big company, with lots of name recognition in the industry. It is a wonderful feeling to help a customer solve a problem by assisting them with an application issue.

Cons

Very hard to change jobs once pigeon holed. Forced ranking and yearly lay offs. The company is always looking to get rid of higly payed employees and replace them with new employees that make much less. Very little manufacturing of Rockwell products are done in the US anymore. Customers are told to throw away and replace instead of repairing.

Pros

Great environment with focus on culture building. Projects are laid out well so no hectic schedules. Great work-life balance. A lot of veterans who you can learn from.

Cons

Sometimes difficult due to teams that are outside of US so sometimes could be slow while waiting for other teams to report back.

Hard to move up, mostly lateral movement if anything.
