I have been working at Rockwell Automation full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Business updates are communicated regularly, huge longevity within the company which creates great teams to work with. Benefits are good and advertised well.

    Cons

Salary increases are not in line with inflation. Senior staff can encourage hierarchy.

    Advice to Management

Hierarchy needs to be reviewed. We pride ourselves on people being the foundation of our organisationand not being told how important individuals are within teams.

I worked at Rockwell Automation full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Longevity of service and knowledge for many staff. Progressive outlook from US led company.

    Cons

Seems to be a relatively high turnover of "younger blood" leading potential issues with innovation. US HQ lives in a world of US market dominance and don't always demonstrate that being the minnow in a market is different. Lack of job security for UK based employees - lots of outsourcing and global role consolidation. VERY short-term focused. Bonus scheme based on Earnings per share in the US - irrelevant and... largely uncontrollable for most people..

    Advice to Management

Stimulate innovation in the core base of staff. Trust senior continental leadership to make the right decisions for their business - eg all recruitment (shouldn't need to be approved at the very highest levels in the US, margin decisions for negotiation of new business deals etc

I worked at Rockwell Automation full-time

    Pros

Strong corporate culture. Generally well rewarded. Some good additional benefits. Interesting and varied work. Colleagues are typically open and supportive.

    Cons

Too many global corporate objectives to comply with. Career progression is not always on the basis of merit with appointments made without the positions being advertised internally sometimes. Geographically diverse teams can lead to employees feeling unsupported and remote from manager.

    Advice to Management

Allow employees to focus on doing their best work and serving customers instead of having to prioritise compliance to bureaucratic corporate rules and objectives.

    Pros

interesting work. Lot of opportunity to be at different places in the world

    Cons

No job safety. No career growth. low pay, low per diem.

    Advice to Management

Need to let internal employee rise up rather then hire people from outside.
