Pros
Contract work was good, room for growth and raises/bonuses were given for drive and performance.
Cons
Corporate is useless and scummy. I was given a lay-off notice due to contract loss (which is fine, no hard feelings). The lay-off notice stated that I could remain their employee for a month while searching for internal opportunities, while they covered all benefit premiums, which seemed like a generous offer. During this month, I was given two verbal offers for positions, both of which were rescinded at no fault of my own (one re-chose the candidate to make an offer to after extending an offer to me, the other made an offer, then realized that I did not meet the experience requirements). At the end of the month, they took the benefit premiums out of my final paycheck and refused to uphold their word when I questioned it. Additionally, they misreported my last day of work to my state's Department of Labor as over a month after my true last day worked and refused to correct the mistake when asked. Also, the corporate IT help-line just plain sucks at their job.
