Pros

- Abundant level of positions available across all skill sets. - Defined Engineering and Project Managmeent Career paths. - Training options - Project Managers will attempt to 'place' you on another project in the event of budget cuts or contract chages. - Multitudes of contracts earned, renewed each year meaning there is ample opprotunity to move into senior lead or Project Management roles.

Cons

- Big company and red tape required to take advantage of the Pros listed above - Federal Contracts only, meaning you are subject to the whims of the federal direction / budget (Although as a compnay SAIC has so many it very rarely affects them) - Not a lot of 'reconigition' for those outside of the prime engineering or project management roles. - Support for profesional confrence attendance is available but not consistent between different projects and required Goverment approval and support making it difficult.

Pros

Great environment, great culture, everyone seems very willing to help and listen to others ideas and grow within themselves.

Cons

I wish there was a little bit more work that allowed us to learn during it, sometimes I feel pressured to just do the work rather than understand it. I also know that due dates are required, so that is a thing as well.

Pros

They have work and constantly looking for good talent.

Cons

Well let's say HR shelters bad SVPs/VPs. It seems like everyone here is a Director/VP/SVP and all of them are protected by being jerks to employees. I'll leave it at that as no matter which group you go into, SAIC does a good job of corrupt management especially after Two of the former CEOs. There is a really strong good ole boys club at VP levels and above. Benefits go up and raises are usually 0% -2% if you are lucky. You will take the blame for ineffective management at top levels. Turnover is a major issue. Vacation time you will never get a chance if you are trying to get a raise or be a good employee.
