Pros

International Company. Benefits are pretty competitive, medical is expensive.

Cons

Discriminates against non-French employees. Frequent company communications only in French. Leadership in the US and Mexico operate in fear of their French bosses. Not a healthy work environment. I attended an all leadership meeting and it was delivered in French only.

Pros

People are treated very well at Safran. They might not be the highest paying Aerospace company in the USA, but they have great benefits, management, and people. And still, the pay is usually competitive.

Cons

The headquarters are in France and therefore you need to be open to a different culture. Additionally, French and English are used sometimes in communications.

Pros

Many learning opportunities for troubleshooting different types of avian generator control units. Opportunities to work with a variety of engineering departments including production, test, quality, and industrialization. Occasional overtime opportunities.

Cons

High stress due to production deadlines, especially at the end of month. Miscommunications due to constant reprioritizing of needs. Difficult to move from short term (1 year+ only) contracts to full time positions.
