Pros

Benefits Decent but that is about all.

Cons

CEO seems to hate women. Women not paid or treaded equally to men. New hires often paid more than senior staff who have to train them. Annual raises do not cover cost of living increases and they do not care. Remote working is only for the select few. Monies spent on Engineering for milestones met that isnt shared with rest of the office or manufacturing teams. Monies spent on management for golf, dinners ect. But no money for decent raises. Bullying is accepted and allowed without consequences.

Thank you for your review. We are disappointed to hear your experience. Safran Electronics & Defense Canada is committed to creating an inclusive, diverse and equitable team that encourages all employees to grow and develop within the organization. We see diversity as a means to leverage creativity, collective performance and innovation. We understand that our greatest asset is our employees. Our employee health, safety and well being is of the utmost importance. Our leadership team works diligently to maintain that safety and well being under all circumstances. Your reference to bullying is deeply concerning as we have a zero tolerance policy and action any and all complaints. If you wish to reach out to us to provide information regarding this statement we are readily available. Safran works hard to position our employee compensation packages to be competitive in the industry. We provide competitive wages, comprehensive benefits paid by the company, a progressive pension plan paid by the company, annual performance reviews, annual bonus plan, offers an employee stock purchasing plan that is matched 60% by the company, paid sick time, length of service awards and other employee perks. We do have a remote work policy that is available to all employees not only a select few. The work completed by the position must be compatible with remote work. A department manager then ensures on-site coverage is maintained and remote work rotated throughout the department. There are departments where almost the entire team has scheduled remote work agreements. If you had any issue with remote work we like to know where you encountered a roadblock and ensure this doesn’t happen in the future. Employee appreciation is key. Along with our annual performance review and bonus plan we ensure we connect with all employees to display our gratitude for all of their hard work and dedication. We host annual events in the summer and winter along with monthly events. This also provides an opportunity for all to connect on a personal level. Please note that we have only hosted one leadership event in the last three years. We take our employee experience and work environment very seriously. We would be interested in learning more about how you think we can improve. Please reach to a member of the human resources team if you are interested in reviewing with us.
